Lagos City Mall, Hosts Creative Workshop for Children

IN a bid to make the coming children’s day celebration a memorable one for children and their parents, Lagos City Mall, one of Nigeria’s biggest malls has put up a special children’s day creative workshop billed for May 27 2016 at the mall premises. The creative workshop which seeks to hone the innate creative power in the young minds is a partnership between the mall and Omolayo Art Gallery.
Speaking on the upcoming event, Mall Manager, Lagos City Mall, Kayode Ogundele, said the event would help identify and develop talents in the young participants. He stated that the workshop was structured in such a way that while children are having fun, they will equally have the opportunity to showcase their creative abilities.
Activities lined up for the day include drawing, painting, molding, card making, face painting, music and dance. According to him, the event which will be held at Omolayo Gallery’s Young Art on the second floor of the mall will start by 10 am and run till 4pm.
Ogundele said the event was open to children from all backgrounds including those with special needs as there would be no discrimination.
Similarly, Kiddies Warehouse, an upscale fashion brand in the mall will also be offering discount sales during this weekend and on Democracy day.
Edaoto, a popular dancehall and reggae artiste and his Afrogenious Band will be on the ground to entertain the children. Other sight attractions will include bouncing castle, food, drinks and lots of gift items.
He reminded parents that the Mall had recently launched a free 15-minute Wi-Fi services for its numerous customers which they could make use of while watching their kids showcase their talents.
Besides, the Wi-Fi, the event which is holding inside the mall will afford parents and fun seekers the opportunity to shop. The mall boasts of retail brands in body & beauty, fashion, lifestyle, banking, telecoms, food and restaurants, health, grocery and supermarket, accessories and gift store, game arcade, multipurpose event hall and entertainment aimed at creating a renewed and memorable shopping experience.
