MR Adeniyi Olukoya, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship aspirant in Eredo Local Council Development Area, has said that an improved children healthcare scheme would be his utmost priority if elected.

Speaking during the flag-off of his campaign in Ikorodu on Thursday, Olukoya said that he was prioritising children’s health because the children of today would be the parents of tomorrow.

“We need to take their healthcare seriously, for them to become healthy citizens tomorrow,” he said.

The APC aspirant also promised to develop a children’s health scheme to help to cushion the financial burden on parents.

“I will prioritise the health scheme programme to ease the burden of the parents.

“Many parents don’t have enough money to pay for their child/children hospital bills, this are part of my agenda to cushion such effect,” he said.

He said that among his programmes, if elected, were vocational skills acquisition for youths, agricultural empowerment, local tourism development, improvement in primary education and building of good road networks, among other infrastructural projects.

“I am a man of the people, for the people and by the people. A grassroots man.

“I know what my people want and I will make sure I provide succour to them where necessary,” Olukoya said.

He urged all party faithful to maintain a peaceful atmosphere during the APC primary election on Saturday.

“Politics is not a do or die affair, it is a matter of loose or win, therefore, voters should maintain a peaceful atmosphere and shun any form of violence,” he advised. (NAN).
