THE Lagos State Government says the 7th edition of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)  Exclusive Fair will improve operators’ growth opportunities and increase market access to made-in-Lagos products.

The Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Dr Lola Akande, made this known in a statement on Friday in Lagos.

The fair which is scheduled to hold from June 28 to July 3, at Blue Roof Agidingbi Ikeja, has the theme: “Sustainability of MSMEs on AfCFTA opportunities for Global and Digitalised Economy”.

According to her, the annual fair is an initiative aimed at enhancing the technical and non-technical entrepreneurial skills of MSMEs operators while improving their access to broader market networks and financial services in the state.

She said that the fair was conceptualised to build a strong public-private support system that would enhance the capacity of MSMEs for economic diversification.

Akande added that Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who would declare the event open had made vital interventions for MSMEs through regular sponsorship of the fair, a marketing mechanism for supporting operators in the state.

“The Lagos State MSME Exclusive Fair will play host to over 150  business exhibitors, who will be showcasing various products and services including made-in-Lagos products.

“The fair will be concluded with the presentation of awards and certificates to outstanding exhibitors,” she said.

Reeling out activities for the six-day event, the commissioner said that the event would feature daily workshops, seminars, panel discussions, networking and business marketing sessions.

“There will be daily Business Clinic which will involve interactions with federal and state agencies on diverse key areas affecting MSMEs growth and development in the state.

“The discussants were carefully selected among organised private sector partners such as Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Nigerian Association of Small Industrialists (NASSI), Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME)
