Lagos official wins housing commissioner of the year award

LAGOS State Commissioner for Housing, Mr Moruf Akinderu-Fatai, has been awarded the Commissioner of the Year.

The commissioner won the award  at the 18th Africa International Housing Show in Abuja.

Mr Adesile Rufai, the Chief Public Affairs Officer in Lagos State Ministry of Housing,  announced this in a statement on Friday in Lagos.

According to Rufai, the award ceremony took place in Abuja.

He said that the award was received on behalf of the commissioner by a delegation from the ministry.

He said that the award was in recognition of the commissioner’s outstanding leadership in the housing sector.

Rufai said that the commissioner was also honoured for his commitment to addressing housing challenges in Lagos State.

He added that the commissioner was honoured for his  innovative solutions in providing affordable and decent  housing to Lagos residents.

Rufai quoted Akinderu-Fatai as expressing gratitude for the award and re-affirming the state government’s commitment to improving housing in Lagos.

He said that the  commissioner dedicated the award to the Lagos State Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his support. (NAN)
