Lagos Water Corporation reiterates commitment to better service delivery

ENGR. Mukhtaar Tijani, the Managing Director of the Lagos Water Corporation, has reiterated the agency’s commitment to strengthening water facilities in the state for better and improved service delivery.

Tijani gave the assurance in a statement on Friday in Lagos during an inspection tour of some water facilities.

He said various issues were raised during the tour particularly on plants designed capacity, production capacity, and facilities efficiency.

“This is to ascertain issues that require urgent attention.

“Notable challenges associated with the inefficiency of the waterworks mentioned included power supply and borehole issues, aeration tank and generator problems, among others,” he said.

He, however, assured residents of his unwavering dedication and commitment to ensuring that the LWC waterworks facilities are strengthened.

NAN reports that Tijani inspected and assessed water facilities at South East, Central and North East region of the LWC coverage areas, which included Iponri, Surulere, Itire Ikate, Shomolu and Ikeja I Waterworks.

He was accompanied by the LWC Executive Director, Operations and other notable staff. (NAN)
