Lagosians Urged to ‎Participate in Residents Registration Exercise

THE Lagos State government has renewed its call on all residents to ensure participation in the ongoing registration exercise of the Lagos State Residents Registration Agency at all Local Government Councils, Local Council Development Areas and LASRRA head office at No 4, Registration Close, off Lateef Jakande Road, Agidingbi, Ikeja.

Christopher Mendes, general manager, enjoined residents of the State to come out and register to enable the government generate demographic data necessary for efficient planning and proper allocation of resources, while also stressing the need for those who have registered to collect their resident registration cards.

Mendes stated that the Agency would create a reliable database of all residents in Lagos State and use such information to provide necessary infrastructure for residents.

LASRAA was established in June 2011 through an enactment (LASRRA Law No. 21), which empowered the Agency to operate a residents’ database and identification card programme for Lagos State.
