LAO President, Thongloun Sisoulith, has sent a congratulatory message to Vladimir Putin on his re-election as Russian president.
Thongloun also felicitated Putin on the opportunity to serve as the president of the Russian Federation for another term.
“The result of the election strongly reflects the Russian people’s trust and confidence in the ability and intelligence of your leadership,’’ Thongloun said in the message on Monday.
The Lao president also hoped to work closely with President Putin to further strengthen the friendly relations and good cooperation between Russia and his country.
The friendly relations and good cooperation is based on the strategic partnership, mutual understanding, trust and assistance between the two countries for the benefit of the two peoples. (Xinhua/NAN)
