Obinna Emeneka, member representing Anambra East at the State House of Assembly,  has commenced the construction of Eke Edo Market, Igbariam as his constituency project to the community.

The market, located on Igbariam/Anaku road, Anambra East Local Government Area, LGA, was chosen by the community as the project they needed from the lawmaker.

Emeneka assured his constituents that he would continually deliver their share of dividends of democracy to them.

While laying the foundation of the market, the lawmaker explained that the choice of the market for the community was informed by the N20 million `Community Choose Your Project initiative’ by Gov. Willie Obiano to various communities in Anambra.

Marcel Iferika, vice president, Igbariam Development Union, commended Emeneka for such thoughtful development to the community.

Iferika described the lawmaker as god send and the project as the greatest gift to the community.

Emeka Odikpo, former staff Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN and indigene of Igbariam, said the community had tried on several occasions to construct the market but was unsuccessful.

Odikpo thanked Emeneka for his good works and pleaded with him to do more for his people.
