Lawyer advises youths to shun bad friends

AN Ilorin based legal practitioner, Mr Taiwo Jamiu, has advised youths in the country to shun bad friends and remain focused.

Jamiu, who made the call in Ilorin on Saturday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria ( NAN), said bad friends could corrupt beautiful minds.

According to him, most people have been influenced negatively through their association with bad friends.

” Stop moving with people who add no value to your life; avoid moving with friends who only think about making quick money or partying.

“Do not allow bad advise from friends ruin your plan; when you observe they only think about party or how to make quick money, kindly run away from them.

“Remain focused and pursue your dream to achieve your desire in life; bad friends corrupt beautiful minds,” he said .

The lawyer also advised the youths to choose friends who embraced a sound moral upbringing.

He stressed the need to move with people who were disciplined, hardworking
and  God fearing.

The legal practitioner, however,  called on parents to be watchful and know the type of friends their children choose.

” Every parent must act like a watchdog and screen their children friends in order to plan a better future for them,” he said.(NAN)
