MR Adamson Adeboro, an Abuja based Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) designate on Sunday condemned the practice of law by fake lawyers and urged the public to report perpetrators.

Adeboro spoke during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.

He condemned some persons who go about to set up legal firms without having legal knowledge.

Adeboro commended the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) for apprehending fake lawyers adding that the association had tried its best.

“However, NBA is not omnipotent or omnipresent, we need people’s assistance.

“There must be synergy amongst lawyers, the society and the people generally on how to apprehend fake lawyers.

“If you live in a particular environment and suddenly somebody becomes a lawyer and you know that he never went to the four walls of a classroom, report such person to appropriate authorities,” he advised.

Adeboro added that the responsibility of reporting fake lawyers, to be apprehended is on all members of the society and not on NBA alone. (NAN)
