LG boss urges farmers, herdsmen to be law abiding

MR Sanusi Abdul, Chairman of Keana Local Government Area of Nasarawa State has urged farmers and herdsmen to be law abiding, live in peace and tolerate one another, irrespective of their differences.
Abdul made the call on Wednesday during a peace and security meeting of the area in Keana.
He said that the importance of peace to societal development cannot be overemphasized.
The chairman urged them to always report your grievances to the appropriate authorities.
Abdul said: “Don’t take the laws into your hands, be law abiding at all times.
” Peace is priceless and non-negotiable and it is the necessary requirement for the development of any society.
” I call on you to live in peace, be law-abiding and respect one another, irrespective of your affiliations for development to thrive.”
The LG boss said that the council would not condone any act of indiscipline by anyone while urging the people to be disciplined at all times.
Abdul restated his sustained commitment to initiate peace building policies for the overall development of the area.
Abdul further called on the people of the area and the state at large to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule to succeed beyond 2023.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the meeting had in attendance farmers and herdsmen, among others.
Spokespersons of the two groups lauded the chairman for promoting peace in the council and assured him of their readiness to always maintain peace. (NAN)
