CHAIRMANSHIP candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for Chanchaga Local Government Area of Niger, Dr Mustapha Jibrin, has called on the electorate to support his aspirations.

He said he would not let the electorate down if he got elected.

Jibrin promised to carry everyone along irrespective of religion, tribe and political affiliation, if elected as the chairman of the council.

He told newsmen in Minna on Thursday after casting his vote at the local government election that he would work and rebuild Chanchaga Local Government Area to benefit everyone.

“I want to thank the people of Chanchaga local government for their overwhelming support shown to me and to my family. I promise not to let you down by meeting your yearnings and aspirations.

“I am hopeful that the people of Chanchaga will vote for me and also vote all APC councillors.

“I urge the electorate to extend the same gesture of love to all APC candidates,’’ he said.

Jibrin also called on the electorate to return the ruling APC to power in 2023 by voting for the party’s governorship candidate, Mr Umar Bago.

He commended Gov. Abubakar Sani-Bello for allowing a level playing ground for the election and the state’s electoral commission for conducting free and fair elections. (NAN)
