THE Joint Action for Good Governance (JAGG), a Civil Liberty Organisation, has lauded the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi’s conferment of a chieftaincy title on its National Patron, Chief Muritala Audu.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Oba Ogunwusi on Monday in Lagos conferred the title of the Aare Atunluse Omoluabi Oodua Agbaye on Audu, the National Vice President, Buhari Youth Organisation (BYO).

The group congratulated Audu in a statement jointly issued by its National Vice President and National Secretary, Messrs Abdulwaheed Odunuga and Adekunle Aderibigbe respectively, on Monday in Lagos.

The civil liberty leaders described the title as well-deserved in recognition of Audu’s immense contributions to the society, particularly, the Yoruba land.

“We extend our heartiest congratulations on your conferment as the Aare Atunluse Omoluabi Oodua of Omoluabi Oodua Agbaye by Ooni of Ife.

“This is a significant achievement for you, and it is a signal of the trust and confidence the community has in your ability to lead and represent them.

“Your installation marks a new chapter in the history of our community.

“We are confident that you will utilise your wealth of experience, wisdom, and leadership skills to bring about meaningful change and progress to our community.

“You can count on our support and collaboration in guiding the community to a brighter tomorrow,” the group said

According to them, as holder of the title, Audu’s role is critical to bring a new lease of life to people at the grassroots.

The group added: “We have no doubt that you will discharge your duties with excellence, fairness, and justice.

“Once again, congratulations on your new position, and we look forward to working together for the betterment of our community.”

He prayed God grant Audu guidance and support in the discharge of his responsibilities. (NAN)
