A chieftain of the Labour Party (LP), Mr Kunle Adeyeri, has commiserated with Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State on the death of his mother, Lady Evangelist Grace Akeredolu.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Richard Olatunde, announced the passing of 90- years old Grace Akeredolu in a statement on Thursday in Akure.
Adeyeri in a statement he personally signed, condoled with the governor and urged him to take solace in the fact that his mother lived a good life during which she contributed invaluably to the course of humanity.
He described the deceased as a model of chastity, who dedicated her life to the service of mankind through her immeasurable benevolence to the downtrodden.
“On behalf of my family, I mourn the exit of our governor’s mother who passed on at 90.
“The news of her passing came this morning as a shock because Mama was still hale and hearty, hence no one suspected death lurking.
“Though, Mama joined the Saints at 90, her children, relatives and acquaintances will miss her greatly.
“Undoubtedly, Mama was an accomplished mother with tremendous and unsurpassable impacts, owing to the incontrovertible fact that she had used her Godly wisdom to ensure the success of her sons and daughters, most especially our very own governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,” he stated.
The LP chieftain said that death as everyone is aware, remained an indispensable end for all, praying that Mama’s soul would continue to reside in the bosom of her maker. (NAN)
