A Karmo Grade I Area Court, Abuja, on Friday remanded in prison custody a 20-year-old man, Asfa Abdullahi, for stealing a motorcycle valued at N120, 000.
The Prosecutor, Ifeoma Ukagha, told the court that the accused, a resident of Kado-Kurchi, in Gwarimpa, Abuja, committed the offence on June 15 at Life Camp, Abuja.
He said that one Abdullahi Fulani, of the same address reported at the Life Camp Police Station on the same date, that the accused made away with his Pajab Motorcycle parked at his residence.
He said that the accused hid the motorcycle somewhere within the house and denied not seeing it.
Ukagha, however, said that during police investigation, Abdullahi confessed to the crime and the motorcycle was recovered.
The prosecutor said the offence contravened the provisions of Section 288 of the Penal Code.
Abdullahi, who had no legal representation, pleaded guilty to the one-count charge preferred against him.
The Judge, Inuwa Maiwada, ordered the remand of the accused in prison custody.
He then adjourned the case until June 26, for sentencing.
