Man, 29, docked for allegedly damaging Liberty Stadium’s door

ONE 29-year-old Edet Felix was on Thursday docked in an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, for allegedly damaging a door and louvres at the Liberty Stadium, Ibadan.

Felix, whose residential address was not provided, is charged with wilful damage and housebreaking.

The prosecutor, Insp Ibrahim Toyin, told the court that the defendant  committed the offences on Feb. 5, at 8.00 p.m. at the Liberty Stadium, Ibadan.

The prosecutor alleged that the defendant unlawfully damaged the property worth N25, 000.

He alleged that Felix, on the same date, time and place, also broke into a hostel building with intent to commit a crime.

According to the prosecutor, the offences contravene Sections 451 and 414 of the Criminal Law of Oyo State, 2000.

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Magistrate, Mrs S. A. Adesina, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N10, 000 and one surety in like sum.

She adjourned the case until April 11 for hearing. (NAN)
