Man, 32, charged with sale of 450g Cannabis

FOR allegedly engaging in unlawful sale of 450g of Cannabis, a 32-year-old man, Abiodun Yusuf, was on Wednesday charged before a Federal High Court in Lagos.
Yusuf was charged by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on a count of drug trafficking.
The suit is marked FHC/L/85c/21
The prosecutor, Mr Jeremiah Aernan, said that the defendant committed the alleged offence on May 13.
Aernan said that the defendant was arrested on Adura Street in Ijaye-Ojokoro Local Government Area of Lagos State, while selling Cannabis weighing 450g.
He noted that Cannabis like Cocaine and Heroin, was prohibited in the NDLEA Schedule.
He said that the alleged offence contravened Section 11 (c) of the NDLEA Act of 2004, which provides for a penalty of life imprisonment for drug trafficking.
No date has been fixed for arraignment of the defendant.
