Man, 35, docked for allegedly stealing N1 motorcycle

ONE 35-year-old Moses Dashe on Wednesday appeared before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, for allegedly stealing a motorcycle worth one million Naira.

Dashe, whose address was not mentioned, was arraigned on a count charge of stealing.

He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The prosecutor, Insp Oladejo Balogun, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Oct. 2, about 7:54 p.m. on Green Gate Estate, Oluyole, Ibadan.

Balogun said that the defendant stole a  motorcycle belonging to Metro Africa Express, Ibadan, in contravention of Section 390 (9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

The Magistrate, Mrs Olasinmibo Sanusi-Zubair, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N300, 000 with two sureties in like sum.

She adjourned the case until Nov. 19 for hearing. (NAN)
