Man, 56, docked for allegedly stealing aluminum sheets

A 56-year-old man, Usman Adamu, was on Tuesday brought before a Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly stealing aluminium sheets.
The defendant, whose address was not stated, is standing trial on two-count charge of damage and stealing of aluminum sheets.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The prosecutor, ASP Clement Okuiomose, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on March 16, at Gbaji Bridge, Badagry, Lagos.
He said the defendant stole three aluminum sheets from Gbaji Bridge, Badagry.
According to him, the offences contravene the Criminal code Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The trial magistrate, Mr T.A Popoola, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N600, 000, with two sureties in like sum.
He said one of the sureties must be a substantive director in an organisation.
The court adjourned the case until April 20 for mention. (NAN)
