A man, Usman Bello, on Friday begged an Area Court in Ilorin to prevail on his wife, Memunat, to stop her divorce bid.

In his response, Bello said he has been married to Memunat for 10 years.

”I do not want to leave her. I am not leaving her, My Lord please help me beg her,” he told the court.

In her petition, Memunat , prayed for the dissolution of the marriage on grounds that she was tired of the relationship.

The judge, Malam AbdulQodir Ahmed, gave the couple one week to settle their misunderstanding and continue their marriage.

Ahmed adjourned the case until Sept. 30 for report of settlement and or judgment. (NAN)
