Masari establishes 10 nomadic schools, hospitals- Miyetti-Allah

The Chairman, Katsina State Chapter of the Miyetti-Allah Kautulhore, Alhaji Hassan Kuraye, says the state government has established 10 nomadic schools and hospitals for the nomads across 10 local government Areas of the state.
Kuraye made this known on Monday at a one day sensitisation workshop organised at Danja town for the nomads from Danja, Kafur and Bakori Local Government Areas of the state.
He said the establishment of the schools and the hospitals was part of the governor’s efforts to ensure the wellbeing of the Fulanis across the state.
According to him, the benefiting local governments are: Jibia, Batsari, Safana, Danmusa, Kankara, Faskari, Sabuwa, Danja, Dandume and Dutsenma.
“Not only the schools and the hospitals, Masari has also rehabilitated about 900 kilometres of access roads for the nomads to find it easy in moving their cattle from one area to another within the state.
“The rehabilitation of the roads was also to assist us take our children to schools, no matter the distance of our location,” Kuraye said.
He called on the nomads to enroll their children in the specials provided for them to appreciate government’s efforts in giving them quality education.
According to him, the call is necessary because the preesent state government has been doing everything possible to ensure the well being of fulanis in the state.
The chairman added that the state government had put in place adequate security measures to ensure the safety of lives and prosperity for the nomads.
Also speaking , Alhaji Lawal Abdullahi, member, committee set up by the state government to reconcile farmers and nomads said the committee had recovered over 35,000 cows in the state.
He also said the committee, after thorough investigation and screening, had returned the recovered cattle to the real owners. (NAN)
