THE Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign state of Biafra, MASSOB, has expressed delight over the positions of   Anambra and Abia states governments on the Federal Government’s alleged plan to establish grazing colonies for Fulani herdsmen and their cows in the Southern part of Nigeria.

MASSOB in a statement by its leader Comrade Uchenna Madu described the alleged plan to establish colonies for the Fulani herdsmen and their cows as anti people and a plot to empower the herdsmen to continue to kill people in the southern states of the federation.

“We salute the eloquent courageous spirit of Abia state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu and Governor Willie Obiano for opposing the anti people Federal government policy which only favours the Fulanis and their cows. We urge other sleeping governors in the Southeast to wake up from their slumber and cowardice and follow the fearless footsteps on the issue and in infrastructural development of their respective States.

MASSOB commend the Anambra state Governor, Willie Obiano for boldly and openly declaring that Anambra state can never cohabit with Fulani herdsmen and terrorist activities, based on their antecedents. These bold protective step taken by some Igbo governors is acceptable by MASSOB.

“Establishing colony village for Fulani herdsmen and their cows simply means allowing a known enemy to dine and sleep with a hated opponent. The Fulanis are aggressive and very violent people that should not be allowed to stay with people who are not violent like them.

“With the ancestral, religious and tribal orientations the Fulanis have, including the nature of their occupational specialization, it will be difficult and impossible for Fulanis to cohabit with non Muslim communities mostly the Igbos. It will not be farfetched to conclude that the Fulani herdsmen and their kinsmen are pawns in an agenda to overrun all towns in Nigeria.

“Their plans are to have emirs in Anambra, Imo, Enugu, Benin, Benue, Ogun and other towns where Federal government is planning to create grazing reserves colonies for Fulani herdsmen.” – Vanguard
