Orji Uzoh kalu, publisher of The SUN, sacks top management staff in a bid to reposition the company

 

THE SUN newspaper on Thursday sacked top management and editorial staff of the company without any warning.

Realnews gathered that Orji Uzor Kalu, publisher of the newspaper and former Governor of Abia State, took the action to reposition the newspaper.

Some of those affected included Steve Nwosu, deputy managing director, three general managers; Fatai Oladehinde, editor of the Sunday title; Ikenna Emehu; editor, Sporting Sun, John Joshua Akanji; Yinka Fabowale; and Emeka Okoroyanwu, group business editor.

One of the affected staff, who confirmed the news of the mass sack said they  did not see it coming but the publisher woke up and carried out the action.
