Metuh Granted Bail

OLISA Metuh, national publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was on Tuesday, January 19, granted bail by the federal high court in Abuja.

Justice Okon Abang, the trial judge, ordered him to produce two sureties who must deposit N200million and provide two sureties in like sum.

The sureties, according to the court, must live in Abuja and swear affidavit of means with two passport photographs. They must also be owners of landed ‎properties within the Maitama district of the FCT.

‎They are to submit the Certificate of Occupancy of the properties to the chief registrar of the court for verification, as well as submit their three years tax clearance.

Metuh is also expected to submit his travelling document with the court registrar.

The PDP spokesman is answering to a seven-count criminal charge that was preferred against him by the ‎Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.‎

‎He is facing trial alongside ‎Destra Investment Limited, his firm ‎over alleged N400m fraud.‎
