MISS Face of Humanity (MFOH) Nigeria 2025, Amb. Fortunate Oloruntimilehin, has condemned the shocking abuse of minors at the Ekiti State Children’s Correctional Center following a Valentine’s Day outreach to the facility.

The visit, which aimed to show love and support to incarcerated children, reportedly revealed disturbing conditions—children suffering multiple injuries from iron restraints, a lack of proper living facilities, and the complete absence of education, denying them a chance at rehabilitation.

Amb. Oloruntimilehin decried the alleged inhumane treatment, calling for urgent government intervention. “These children are not criminals; they deserve protection, not torture! The government must loosen their chains, improve security, and provide medical personnel and quality education,” she stated.

MFOH Nigeria is demanding an immediate overhaul of the correctional system, advocating for humane rehabilitation methods, structural upgrades, and the deployment of teachers to aid the children’s reintegration into society.

“This call is a clarion cry to the government—not just in Ekiti but across Nigeria—to end the systemic abuse of vulnerable children under their care,” She concluded.
