Atiku Abubakar, former vice president and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, 72, November 25. He studied at the Institute of Administration, Ahmadu Bello University, ABU, Zaria, Kaduna State. He worked with the department of Customs and Excise from where he retired as deputy director of Customs in 1989 and went into politics in 1990. He holds the chieftaincy title of Turaki Adamawa. Atiku is a presidential aspirant under the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the 2015 general elections. He was elected as the presidential flagbearer of the PDP for the 2019 general elections.
