Militants attack Police Station in Bayelsa, Kill One, Injure Many

THE BAYELSA State police command has confirmed suspected armed men attack at the Kolo Police Station located in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. The attack which left a policeman dead and some injured started at a check point close to the station.
According to report, the suspected militants had attacked and abducted a boat owner along Ekeremor Local Government Area of the state. The attack on the police officers on duty was aimed at stealing arms and ammunition. The state Police command has assured the public details from the Police Public Relations unit. – Vanguard
