Miners association inaugurates electoral committee

THE Miners Association of Nigeria (MAN) has inaugurated members of its electoral committee to oversee election into various offices of National Executive Council of the Association.

The Secretary, Board of Trustees of MAN, Mr Niran Ajibade, on Thursday in Abuja, said that the committee would ensure a smooth conduct of the election.

Ajibade enjoined the members to avail themselves of further communications, commitment and cooperation with the committee for a credible process and progress of the association.

“In accordance with provisions of the association’s constitution and consequent upon the resolution of the Extra Ordinary Virtual General Congress held on March 29, the Board of Trustees has constituted an electoral committee.

“The committee will oversee the election into the various offices of the National Executive Council of the association,” he said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the members of the committee include Mr Majidadi Mainasara, Chairman, Mr Simon Adogba, Secretary, with other five persons are members.

Ajibade said the committee would come up with the election time-table, candidate qualifications and other necessary guidelines for the smooth conduct of the election.(NAN)
