THE Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has described the passing of Oba Sikiru Atanda Woleola, the Olupo of Ajasse-Ipo, a first class traditional ruler in Kwara State, as a great loss not just to his family and community but indeed to the entire state.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday, the Minister said the Olupo will be sorely missed for his wisdom, his love of the people and the rare leadership he provided during his memorable reign.

He expressed his deepest condolences to His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State; the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari; the late Olupo’s immediate and extended family, friends and associates as well as all the sons and daughters of Ajasse-Ipo, praying that God will give them the fortitude to bear the loss.

Mohammed prayed to God to forgive Olupo his sins and grant him Aljannah Firdaus.
