Ministry requests directors who have spent 8 years and above to submit notice of retirement

THE Ministry of Finance has requested directors who have spent eight years and above to submit their notice of retirement in line with section 20909 of the revised Public Service Rules, PSR, which took effect on July 27, 2023.
According to the circular signed by Mariya A.D Rufai, Director of Administration, Ministry of Finance, dated August 3, 2023, all the affected directors are advised to commence the process of documentation with the Administration Department for compulsory retirement by virtue of the section under reference.
The circular also said that the directors in question should handover to the most senior officers in their respective departments and surrender all documents, including identification cards as well as official vehicles before exiting.
