THE Civil Liberties Organization, CLO, has decried with great disdain fraudulent faking of JAMB result by Mmesoma Joy Ejikeme.

It described in a statement that it was most despicable and detestable that such devilish act was perpetrated by a promising and future leader of the country, “who looks very innocent and honest”.

It recalled that the CLO had appealed to both Federal and Anambra State governments to award scholarship to Mmesoma Ejikeme for doing the country proud and equally commended Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company for awarding scholarship to Mmesoma.

It added that the CLO also commended JAMB for being alive to its responsibilities and protecting the integrity of the nation’s educational system.

According to the statement, the CLO was vindicated as Mmesoma admitted to have altered the authentic result before the Anambra State Investigative Panel.

The group commended Gov. Soludo for constituting the investigating panel that helped to lay to rest the controversial saga, douse tension and restore the integrity and people’s confidence in JAMB.

“There is no doubt in our minds that the introduction of moral ethics and patriotism will help inculcate moral rectitude, discipline and integrity in our youths.

“We equally appeal to JAMB to temper justice with mercy because mercy is more rewarding and fruitful than strict justice by reducing her three years ban to one year.

“Her parents, society should forgive and accept her through counseling, prayers, encouragement and love.

“She needs genuine friends as a friend is known in times of trouble not in merriment. She should not be allowed to be traumatized, demoralized and frustrated due to the unfortunate and despicable saga. Mmesoma, her parents should as well apologize to JAMB, Anambra State governments and Nigerians for such despicable act,” the statement said.
