Modu Sheriff's Spokesman Resigns

BARELY five days after the national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, stormed out of former President Goodluck Jonathan’s peace meeting in Abuja, his personal media adviser, Inuwa Bwala, has resigned.

In a statement Sunday, in Abuja, Bwala however explained that his decision to quit was premised on health grounds.

He said he deemed it fit to throw in the towel in order to enable him face his personal challenges.

“Recent developments in the polity, especially as it affects my duties have made it imperative for me to step down as the official spokesman of Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),” he said. Daily Trust/News Express
