Mojisola Alli-Macaulay hails success of NSITF retreat for lawmakers

MOJISOLAOLUWA Kehinde Alli-Macaulay, Director of Operations, National Social Insurance Trust Fund, NSITF, has lauded the successful completion of the two-day retreat organized by the NSITF for the Senate and House of Representative committees on Labour, Employment and Productivity.

The retreat, which was held in Lagos with the theme “Building a strong NSITF” provided an opportunity for the Fund to interact with members of the Senate and the House of Representatives committees on Labour, Employment and Productivity and forge ways to improve on the operations of the NSITF.

In her vote of thanks at the end of the retreat on Friday, Alli-Macaulay thanked the committee members of both chambers for their massive turn up at the retreat and their immense contributions during the programme.

According to her, their suggestions and observations will be assist the Fund in realizing the goals of the NSITF.

“May your visionary leadership continue to propel the NSITF forward. However, we wish you continued success and wisdom in your noble endeavors.” she added.

In his remarks, Oluwaseun Mayomi, MD/CEO of NSITF said that the retreat was not just an opportunity to address past shortcomings or boasting a collaborative relationship with the Senate and House Committees, but it was also an opportunity to chart a new course for NSITF with excellence as its watchword.

He stressed the need to forge a harmonious relationship with the committee members in order to move the NSITF forward.

Earlier, Senator Diket Plang expressed joy at the level of attendance from the committee members of both chambers, adding that it was a symbol of unity, agreement and support for the NSITF through legislation.

Some of the lawmakers, who attended the retreat included Sen. Eberechukwu Emeribe, Sen. Victor Umeh, Sen. Binos Dauda Yaroe among others.
