THE Traditional Ruler of Omasi, Igwe Benjamin Okeji has commended Governor Willie Obiano for taking proactive steps to strengthen the states’ relationship with Fulani herdsmen.

Igwe Okeji made the commendation in Awka after his appointment as a member of the Anambra State Cattle Menace Committee by Obiano.

He canvassed for mutual co-existence between the herdsmen and farmers.

The royal father urged the herdsmen to tread cautiously in their cattle business, to avoid any form of clash with farmers in the state.

He commended Obiano for ensuring peaceful co-existence between farmers and herdsmen in the state by creating standing committee to liaise with both parties in stemming disagreements.

“This action has no doubt, made him an astute Administrator.’’

An Amawbia-based legal practitioner, Mr Chike Oranye urged the Federal Government to be decisive in tackling the menace of the Fulani herdsmen, who had been unleashing terror on Nigerians.
