More Candidates Pass Maths, English in NECO Exams

THE National Examination Council, NECO, on Friday released the 2016 June/July Senior School Certificate Examination, SSCE, results.

The result released showed a high pass rate in mathematics and English language.

About 88.51 percent (or 905,011) of the candidates scored five credits and above in English Language and Mathematics. While  857,699 or 84.54 percent had Credit and above in English language, 812,846 or 80.16 percent had Credit and above in Mathematics.

Overall, the result reflect a sustained commitment on the part of students to improve on their scores in critical subjects.
