Most train services at Munich main station halted for hours

MOST train traffic at Munich’s main station were suspended for hours on Thursday due to a damaged overhead line.

Long-distance and regional trains could not travel between the station and Munich-Pasing, in the west of the city.

“It is currently not possible to forecast when train services will be able to start again,’’ German’s railway operator Deutsche Bahn announced.

A huge crowd of people built up on the station concourse.

The Munich main station is one of the busiest in Germany. (dpa/NAN)
