A woman, Samsiyya Adam, on Tuesday begged a Shari’a court sitting in Rigasa, Kaduna to grant her custody of all her five children.
Adam prayed the court to order her husband, Yusuf Nasiru to take responsibility for their feeding, school fees and health.
The complainant, who resides in Rigasa, also prayed court to confirm the divorce issued to her by her former husband.
“Three of my children are currently living with me.
“I also want custody of the remaining two so that I can give them proper upbringing”, she said.
On his part, the defendant said he had only one divorce pronouncement.
“I also want custody of my children,” he told the court.
The Judge, Mr Salisu Abubakar-Tureta adjourned the matter until March 29 for ruling.
