THE Oyo State Government, through its Waste Management consultant, Mottainai Recycling Ltd., has urged the state residents to embrace the habit of recycling their waste products.

Mr Adey Adewuyi, the Managing Director, Mottainai Recycling Ltd., made the plea in Ibadan, on Tuesday.

Adewuyi said this plea was coming on the heels of the recent clearing of the environment embarked upon by his company and other stakeholders in Ibadan.

He reiterated the firm’s total commitment to the furtherance of the Executive Governor’s order on zero tolerance for reckless waste disposal.

“Mottainai is paving way for a cleaner and healthier Oyo State; we are totally committed to environmental sustainability,” he said.

Adewuyi also urged the Federal and State Governments to support recycling companies with innovative technology to combat waste that cause flooding and other environmental challenges to the environments.

While observing that the amount of waste in the country was “astonishingly increasing”, he said all hands must be on deck to save lives against the threat of air and water pollution due to human activities.(NAN)
