MTN has once again emerged as the market leader in Nigeria, achieving the highest scores in all key performance indicators for mobile internet.

With a remarkable improvement in download speed from 14 Mbps to 18 Mbps and upload speed from 6 Mbps to 8 Mbps, MTN provides the fastest mobile internet experience in the country.

Latency has also improved significantly, decreasing from 128 ms to 79 ms, enhancing real-time applications such as online gaming and video calls.

Airtel follows MTN with notable performance, achieving a download speed of 10 Mbps and an upload speed of 4 Mbps.

Despite a higher latency at 120 ms, Airtel continues to offer a competitive mobile internet service with a strong streaming score of 67%.

Glo, although trailing behind, has shown improvement with a nPerf score increase of 12%, providing a download speed of 6 Mbps and an upload speed of 3 Mbps.

The nPerf barometer is based on 41,531 tests performed by users in real conditions using the nPerf application available on Android and iOS.

“The significant year-over-year improvements in download and upload speeds across the board highlight the ongoing efforts of Nigerian operators to enhance mobile internet performance,” stated Renaud Keradec, Founder and CEO of nPerf.

MTN is the operator that offers the best 4G experience in Nigeria.

4G continues to provide robust mobile internet connectivity with widespread coverage, enabling users to enjoy high-speed internet access for both personal and professional use across Nigeria.
