Naira policy: PDP candidate advises Nigerians against violence

ALHAJI Mohammed Ajia, the PDP candidate for Asa/Ilorin-West Federal Constituency, has appealed to Nigerians against engaging in violence on scarcity of the new Naira notes.

Ajia who, made the appeal on Thursday in Ilorin at an interaction with newsmen, said though the situation was becoming unbearable, Nigerians should calm down.

He said that the solution to Nigeria’s problem was near, as people could vote in candidates that could make difference in the country.

“The opportunity of participating in elections is coming. The Nigerian youths should suspend all forms of protests and destruction of property.

“You have the right to change the narratives by voting massively for PDP, who will bring the necessary changes to better the lot of the country,” he said.

The PDP House of Reps candidate observed that that there were millions of teeming youths in the country who were unemployed and feeling hopeless.

He added that these youths were increasingly becoming disgruntled and making the country vulnerable.

“Nigeria needs leaders with character, competence and capacity to manage the country and its resources for the benefit of the people,” he said.

Ajia believed that the PDP would be able to solve the situation of the country, adding that PDP would stabilise the country.

He enjoined voters not to be intimidated by anybody, but to come out and vote, adding that security for elections would be top-notch.

He warned that those people who had the intention to cause mayhem would be dealt with accordingly.

According to him, the culprit and his families will be held accountable with stiff penalty and police intelligence will be on ground to foster peace.

“We should desist from using violence during election and everybody should come out and vote enmasse to vote in Nigeria,” he said. (NAN)
