DR Peter Attah, the newly elected Nasarawa State Chairman of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), says his administration will prioritise the welfare of members.

Attah said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Lafia.

He expressed gratitude to the members for finding him worthy to lead them for the next two years.

“This is a responsibility I accept with every bit of my consciousness and being,” he said.

He pledged to dedicate himself to the service of the association to enhance the members’ welfare and wellbeing.

“I bring to the table a clear vision as contained in my manifesto,” Attah said.

He gave assurance that he would execute his manifesto with total dedication in the collective interest of members.

He further promised to be open to superior ideas, criticisms and positive contributions from all the members.

Attah, who considered his victory as divine, promised “to be open to all, available for all, engaging all and sacrifice for all.

“There is no one that shall be segregated in the overall best interest of NMA in the state,” he said.

Attah said that his leadership would uphold the virtues and achievements of the past leaderships while trying to raise the bar.

He further promised to collaborate with the State Government toward improving healthcare services to the citizenry.

He urged members to support his executive and pray to God to give it the grace to succeed. (NAN)
