National Honours: NCWS congratulates Shoda, Tumsah

THE National Council of Women Societies (NCWS) have congratulated her former National President, Mrs Laraba Shoda, on her nomination for national award as Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR).

The council also congratulated one of her board members, Mr Tijjani Tumsah  on his conferment as Officer of the Order of the Niger
(OON).

The National President of NCWS, Hajiya Lami Lau, said this in her congratulatory message to Shoda, the council ‘s immediate past president, and one of the council board members, Tumsah.

According to her, the 2022 National Honours Awards that will be conferred on the duo is a well deserved one.

”Shoda, during her tenure as National President of NCWS did a lot to affect the lives of women, children and the oppressed.

”As an educationist, she also used her wealth of experience to better the lives of many women, widows and orphans,” she said.

Lau also discribed Tumsah as a man with wealth of experience that one could always learn from.

”Tumsah is an epitome of achievement and goal-driven career plan. This quality is what that has brought him this far.

”Tumsah sits at the helm of affairs of Rain Integrated Services. At the same time, he serves as a board member of several other companies in a variation of capacities,” she said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Shoda and Tumsah are among the list of 437 Nominees for the National Honours Awards 2022.

The awards will be presented by President Muhammadu Buhari on Oct. 11, 2022, at the State House Abuja. (NAN)
