NCC Holds Consumer Outreach in Owerri

THE Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, has hosted its 83rd edition of the Consumer Outreach Programme, COP, in Owerri, Imo state. The edition held on Thursday, April 6, with the theme: ‘Information and Education as a Catalyst for Consumer Protection.’

The COP programme is to enable tripartite meeting between regulators, operators and consumers to resolve pressing consumer issues as it relates to provision of telecom services. The importance of the right of the telecom consumer which was explained by NCC is to empower consumers through information and also by providing platforms that will engage operators as well as regulators.

This programme was engaging as interactions, questions and responses on issues by all stakeholders were addressed. In attendance were all stakeholders of the industry.
