
NCDMB set to define Next Frontier for Nigerian Content Implementation

THROUGH the 13th Practical Nigerian Content, PNC Forum, the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, NCDMB, is set to define the Next Frontier for Nigerian Content Implementation.
The annual event, which is dedicated to deepening Nigerian Content across the energy sector to support energy sufficiency goals, the PNC held at the NCDMB Towers in Bayelsa Yenagoa, gathers government representatives and private sector players to advance Nigerian Content implementation throughout the industry ecosystem.
With growing onshore divestments, increased investors’ appetite for cleaner energy sources and budding opportunities for regional collaboration, this year’s forum remains the transformative tool to help position indigenous businesses for sustainability and growth, encourage multi-faceted energy planning to meet growing energy demand, promote capacity development as the bedrock of local content, share strategies for overcoming investment and financing bottlenecks for innovative technologies and projects, as well as showcase local content as a Pan-African agenda and highlight community engagement to deepening Nigerian Content.
The above aims will be achieved by focusing on 6 Key Topics, including

2 Evaluating Financial Strategies for Increased Local Content Implementation
3 Outlining the Benefits & Success of AfCFTA While Exploring the Opportunities for Local Companies

6 Strengthening Domestication & In-Country Manufacturing for Economic Development.
The three-days event, which begins from December 2-5 will also feature over 750 industry stakeholders, including indigenous and international oil, gas and service companies, over 36 hours of B2B networking, Strategic Forum, the Showcase Arena and Gala Dinners.
There will also be a visit to the PNC Site which will provide first-hand insights into nurturing and expanding local capacity.
Experts in the industry are also lined up as speakers to discuss key issues towards taking decisive action to identify the gaps and accelerate a shared vision for Nigerian content through purposeful investments and transformative strategies, including Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Gas, Felix Omatsola Ogbe, Executive Secretary, NCDMB, Abubakar A.
