THE Kwara Controller of Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), Mr Aliu Baba-Usman, has advised personnel in the service on discipline and dedication to duty, as he retires after 30 years in service.
Baba-Usman gave the advice during his sendforth ceremony at the state NCoS headquarters in Ilorin on Tuesday.
According to him, officers should be disciplined and dedicated to work, which is the shortest way to success in life.
“The shortest way to success is dedication and prayer, even if their is challenges you will over come it,” said the controller.
He also charged the officers to strive to maintain high level of discipline, adding that they should not lose focus on the dictates of the job.
He commended the authority of the Correctional Service for the privilege given to him to serve his father’s land.
Baba-Usman also urged the officers left behind to follow his legacy of discipline and dedication to duties at all times.
“Today is my greatest joy. I started well and ended well.
“Nothing is easy, but with grace of God and support from colleagues everything went well,” he said. (NAN)
