THE National Directorate of Employment (NDE) on Monday says it will soon disburse N4.2 million to 42 youths in Yobe under its Agricultural Empowerment Scheme.
NDE Spokesman in the state, Alhaji Mohammad Alka made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Damaturu.
He said the Directorate had earlier trained the beneficiaries on Agricultural Empowerment Scheme, Sustainable Agricultural Development Empowerment, Agricultural Enhancement and Community Based Agric Empowerment Scheme.
Alka said each of the beneficiaries would receive N100,000 loan repayable in three years, adding the programme aimed at making the youth productive to become self-reliant.
He, therefore, charged them to utilise the fund for agribusiness as approved, warning that spending the money on other purposes would not be condoned. (NAN)
