Ndigbo Lagos congratulates Obiozor

THE Ndigbo Lagos has congratulated Professor George Ogbozor, the recently elected president-general of the apex Igbo organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.

A congratulatory letter signed by Major General Abel Umahi (rtd), its president general, Chuma Igwe, secretary, Raymond Obieri, chairman, council of elders, dated January 27, on behalf of the council of elders, executive committee, and the entire members of Ndigbo Lagos, congratulate Obiozor his well-deserved election as the president-general of the apex Igbo organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.

“At this time of our development and growth, Igboland, as a major ethnic nationality in Nigeria requires the leadership and direction of a man of your stature, status, intellect, and exposure. Therefore, Ndigbo have no doubt in their minds that you and your team will meet their aspirations,” it said.

According to the letter, Ndigbo are ready to work with Ohanaeze for the betterment of the Igbos.

“As you roll your sleeves to confront the numerous challenges facing Alaigbo, we assure you that we are available and ready to work with you for the success of your administration and for the betterment of Igboland,” the letter stated.
