THE National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has filed a one count charge of drug trafficking charge against a 42-year-old man, Yahyah Eboigbe, in  a Federal High Court in Lagos.

The NDLEA Counsel, Mrs M.I Erondu, in the charge alleged that Eboigbe committed the offence on May 2.

She said that the suspect was arrested in Festac town in the Amuwo Odofin area of Lagos State.

Erondun said that cannabis is a narcotic similar to cocaine, heroine and other psychotropic substances listed in the NDLEA schedule as prohibited.

She said that the offence contravenes the provisions of Section 11 (c) of the NDLEA Act, Cap N30 Laws of the Federation, 2004.
