THE Managing Director of News Engineering Nigeria Limited, Dr Josephine Nwaeze, has been awarded the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) Chartered Fellowship.
Nwaeze, in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja, said she was honoured alongside 149 Nigerians in various fields of endeavour.
The recipients were conferred at the NIM 2024 Awards, Fellows and Spouses Day Luncheon in Lagos.
The event was themed “Integrating Sustainability into Strategic Decision Making: A Path towards Long-term Business Success.”
Nwaeze expressed delight at the honour, saying it was a call to do more in her managerial career.
“I appreciate the NIM for recognising and rewarding me and other deserving members with this prestigious fellowship award. It will definitely spur us to do more for the good of humanity.”
She said under her leadership, News Engineering had delivered statewide rural electrification projects for various state governments and the Federal Capital Territory, including Sokoto, Gombe, Rivers, Niger, and Delta States.
Nwaeze said through her efforts, the company was recognised as the Rural Electrification Champion by ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREE) in 2022.
NIM President, Dr Christiana Atako, said the fellowship upgrade was a call to higher responsibility and service to the institute, the management profession, and the nation.
She charged the recipients to devote their time, talent, treasure, and thinking to the service of the institute, profession, and nation by availing their competencies and specialisations when needed.
