NGE Convention 2021 to hold despite COVID-19 restrictions

THE convention of the Nigerian Guild of Editors is to hold  as planned starting from May 30, despite the new COVID-19 restrictions, unveiled by the Nigerian government on Monday.

The convention will hold as scheduled in Kano, in strict compliance with COVID-19 protocols.

Mary Alolagbe, secretary general, NGE, in a statement on Tuesday, said that “The Guild is liaising with the Kano State COVID-19 Committee for pre-emptive safety measures to safeguard the health of members.

“Also, the Nigerian Army, Police, DSS and Civil Defence Corps have been mobilised to guarantee security of members.

She assured members of adequate security right from the airport to the hotels and the venue of the convention.
